I have painted so very, very much the last weeks and it feels as if I have made new friends. Perhaps you recognize yourself?
In the middle of Sweden today, snow covers the ground and it’s white and beautiful.

I have been working a lot the last weeks with my production of clay things. And now it’s time to decorate them. To have a table with many naked bowls and start painting, it’s the best way to spend some days in November.

Fideli as at home and we work together a couple of days in my studio.
All shapes which have to be made.

News from the oven / news in the shop


So much work in the studio all day long. And finally open the oven and see all finished ceramics. Ok, sometimes I feel disappointed but quite often I can feel gratefulness.

Oh, I made it in time…


Now they have to dry some days. It takes quite a long time to build teapots and I only do it once a year, however I like it. Perhaps I will do it also next week.
Now it’s nice to spend the weekend doing lazy things, like drinking beer at my neighbors home pub and have meeting with my “book fellows”.

Face to face


I have several patterns and decor series for my tea things. Some years ago I worked a lot with this style. As you know, time does not allow all series in production at the same time. Now I have received a commission, and thus I have a reason to paint this decor again. As you can see they are not glazed yet, maybe I will make it tomorrow…

Gripes modellteater museum



Är det så att den kulturvärld som man har möjlighet till som barn sen präglar vad man tycker om och blir berörd av senare i livet? Ibland tror jag att det är så. Man är ganska sentimental i sina värderingar.
Hursomhelst, jag älskar Maria Gripes berättelser och jag mötte hennes figurer redan som barn, Hugo och Josefin, Elvis och senare, Glastunneln och Skuggböckerma. Hennes man Harald Gripe har illustrerat många av hennes berättelser. I Nyköping finns hela hans modellteatersamling och häromdagen fick jag och Fideli en specialvisning. Många är byggda efter klippark ifrån ”Allas veckotidning”. Mönstrade ”tapeter” limmade på kartong. Utsökta kulisser, finurliga iscensättningar.
Jag bara älskar det här. Att leka, drömma, berätta, att göra sin egen saga!

There is a fantastic museum with objects donated by Harald Gripe in Nyköping. This museum contains a collection of model theaters. All are made by hand. Clever constructions and beautiful results. I just love such things!

Back to the studio



I have been working so much with different white tones the last year. I push ahead with new glaze colorings to the exhibition, pink, turquoise blue, and linen green - lightly and darker. It’s so stimulating to make new things and experiments.

Galleri Sjöhästen – one more time














When I’m looking at the pictures, it appears for me, that we did not document two rooms, i.e. quite many things…
As you can see, there are big space and wonderful rooms.
It was a very nice opening of the exhibition, with plenty of people (both old and young).
Now, when I am back at home, I enjoy the restful weekdays and appreciate life with no stress.
However Fideli has a flying start at art school…
The show continues until the 19th of September.

So many big emotions for me to work together with Fideli. The time has gone so fast, recently she was a little girl and now we are colleagues.

Previously I have made Jumping Jacks. This one cannot move his arms and legs but I like that he is made in parts . I don’t know, perhaps I only make this one.

An island with so many lovely places. I am dreaming about having my own little shop there, maybe next year…

Vacation




It has been so much lovely things to do the last weeks, I have colored so many of these chrochet cloths, drawn some new cutepies (gullegrisar?) and many other things.
Now it’s time to take the ferry to Gotland and be there for a month. Just take it easy, go by bicycle, reading thrillers, take a walk or just take a nap. Have a nice time all of you, see you in August.

No time for paper and pens


This Saturday my sister will be married in Torsång church and our youngest daughter will be one of the bridesmaids. I'm looking forward toward this big party!!!!!!!!!

Exactly one year ago



We crossed over “The Norwegian mountain plateau”, called "Hardangervidda”. It was beautiful grey and chilly to walk with naked feet in the snow on midsummer.

When our first child was 9 years old, he acted in a school play.
We where there, all the big family and many friends.
In the end he entered the scene for a second.
I will never forget it.

I’m overwhelmed of all feelings, so many nice meetings and discussions about time and children and life and much more…
And every evening wine and good food… I’m so worn out of all this fun.
