I have done a lot of everyday things the last couple of weeks.
Now I am painting the décor. In my collection I have some series that must be accomplished…

These "Modern people" become so different when I make them and everytime I am surprised. Sometimes I think that they become younger and younger…

I feel so free when painting them, eardrops, necklace, little makeup, colours and patterns to change on the dress, the eyes' direction, to put on a hat. I have said it before and must say it again - it is like being a child and rest in a colour book!

Glaze burning will be later in july.

Now, I go away some weeks and enjoy the holiday life. Have a good time everyone up there in the internet space!

To turn the mould forward on a rotary wheel has been done since 1000 B.C. My potter’s wheel is admittedly electrical but the method is still the same. And the clay comes directly from the soil - sometimes it is fun to think about this.

Outside and inside.

I cannot render more effectively the production of these handmade spoons. I sculpture, carve, polish, paint and glaze. All of them turn out different and unique.

It takes so long time… (and sometimes it is of course good that one cannot hurry …?)

I love to work with these, although they actually are not
profitable – there are certain things that you want to do nevertheless! By means of this blog I want to show the major part of the production chain and to clarify all moments included before the object is done.

Jockum Nordström is one of Sweden's most noticed contemporary artists. He has both written and drawn it.

Först ser det bara ”fel och fult” ut. Men när man vant sig och lärt känna de charmiga karaktärerna kan man knappast stå emot. Stämningen, stunden, vänskapen – bilderna talar sitt eget språk och nu är jag fast! (och jag har inte ens något småbarn att skylla på…)
